Not enough dragons. If you're looking for a cozy travel log with fantasy twist and one or two exciting bits, you're good to go. If you're looking for an adventure involving interactions with dragons, don't read this. Not sure yet if I'll continue the series.

While the premise is interesting, I just cannot get into the style of writing. I read, and become almost instantly tired or bored. I have no compassion for the characters, and this is just not my style at all. I will say again, though, that the premise is interesting, but that alone is not enough to hold my attention.

Nicht übel, anfangs sogar sehr vielversprechend. Der interessante Ansatz einer Forschungsreise zur Untersuchung der Spezies "Drache" gerät im späteren Verlauf etwas zu sehr in den Hintergrund gegenüber dem Abenteuer-Plot, der zwar zunächst relativ komplex aufgezogen wird, dann aber im Finale doch etwas enttäuschend einfach gelöst wird. Brennan macht es sich dazu leicht. Das hat zur Abwertung geführt.

Der nächste Band erscheint 2014 und ich denke, es besteht Entwicklungspotential. Zudem ist der Band sehr schön aufgemacht mit einem tollen Cover und Illustrationen!!!
