I missed this my first read through of the series. How awesome to see Kate's first meeting with Saiman! That is one freaky "dude"! He would be fun to have around though, you could have a different hot guy every night!

A QUESTIONABLE CLIENT was a good introduction to the Kate Daniels series. The world building is brief but grim and intriguing and I really enjoyed the sarcastic banter that Kate's personality brings.

I can never figure out why, after not reading Ilona Andrews for a while, I am so surprised when I end up loving everything they write, but what a lovely surprise for me! It was great getting to read about how Kate and Saiman met. I never thought I could be convinced to read this little story but I'm so happy I did!

Wow, I love this glimpse of Kate from the past. And Saiman, well, I used to think people were a bit harsh with him and now I think he deserves it!

SpoilerWhat he did to get that acorn was so harsh and all his discomfort and pain as a result was absolutely earned. You are one nasty, selfish pervert creature Saiman.

I have to say this was funnier than I expected. It definitely makes Saiman's obsession make sense. It also reinforces my slight dislike of him.
