Its well written and has a poetic, visural narrative. With that said, it ia also a dark book. I had to read it in small doses. I will have to come back to it.

Held my attention up until the introduction of the female character and the book just became sex-sex-sex-sex-sex-sex (roughly 3/4ths through). Author's good at humor and thrilling, might check him out in like 10-20 years when he can stop thinking about sex non-stop.

I really should have stopped reading at the 'I'm not a misogynist, but..."  near the beginning of the book.
All you need to know to determine if this book isn't for you is that at one point, the main character compares his partner's (NSFW)
wolf vagina to 'a fevered baby's mouth'
