This actually cured my depression.

But in all seriousness it was freaking hilarious and it might be my favorite from the series so far. The art and coloring were as bright and gory as ever. The dialogue was superb, and the hilarious way that they always cuss but without actually cussing? I fluffing loved every second of it.

Another fun instalment to a gruesome comic series. Love the blood and bright colours.

Gertrude tries to become good so that she can escape fairyland. Entertaining and original in parts. The art is great and I particularly enjoyed the coloring. A few strips are very strikingly beautiful, rainbows and all.

3.5 Volume three was a really mixed ride for me. In some regards if felt stale, the same old Gert trying her to get home storyline but on the other hand this volume really took off we story development having a deeper understanding of lore behind why she's stuck in fairyland. The ending is also very very shocking. Seeing Gert attempt to make active change in her life and develop was quite refreshing that's for sure. I also enjoyed getting to learn more Larry's backstory and how much he actually care for Gert. The artwork in this volume is the best, so amazing, especially the samurai chapter.
The ending of this novel really set up well for the finale in volume four.

Can Gert tap into her long lost sweet and benevolent spirit, and will it help her to FINALLY leave Fairyland? Well, she’ll do her best (I know, you’re laughing already). Has she made too many enemies, eviscerated too many creatures?
In this volume we also get to see Larrigon as he pictures his life without Gert. It’s certainly interesting.
The gore factor has definitely gone up, and some things are just plain gross. What does that say about me that I’m still laughing my way through it all?!
If you enjoyed volumes 1&2, you’ll be laughing along with me. Have fun!
