Jake is 13 years old and was recently outed by his father, who put up a giant pride flag in their front yard. Jake is struggling to feel the pride he wants to feel while at the same time dealing with some hate from students and community members. Jake and his friends decide to go before the mayor and the town council to get a pride parade. Ultimately this is a hopeful story with themes of acceptance, inclusion, friendship, family, finding your voice and what it means to be part of a community.
