For indeed they have found each other, to be unto themselves a new generation. They will give each other a hundred new names and take them all off again, gently, as one takes an earring off. - Rainer Maria Rilke

One of my friends that read Letters to a Young Poet with me, Manu, told me the only reason that holds a five-star to this book was that she loves fiction. Well, Manu, this one is for you. Rilke made me go back to school, in the best way. These times I've been reading free-form books and I must say, life was becoming kinda boring. Going back to this epic poem was like taking a sip of Gatorade after gallons of water, loved to coming back of the form.

Besides being really short, this was one of the best well-described texts I've ever read, I could hear everything, feel everything, and picture myself there, hundreds of years ago, even when it was inside Cornet's head. Sad to hear that later in his life, Rilke didn't quite like that prose anymore. Otherwise, I couldn't say better than this phenomenal review from Ilse. Recommend this to anyone that has a half-hour to read this.
