Surprisingly engaging for a hundreds year old book. The first part is much better than the second.

A must read for every Christian. It's a fantastic book filled with allegories for every stage of the Christian life. Many of my friends read this when they were children for the action and battles, but now read it for the encouragement of going through hard trials that Christian (the main character) experiences. It accurately depicts that the Christian journey is filled with hardships along the road to glory.

Mind the translations though. I read the original text (1600s language) and there were many words that I didn't know and had to look up. There are many versions of this written in modern tongue though, and some even edited for childrens' reading level. Pick which ever suits you.
