All of her books are lovely and this was no different. The characters were flawed and lovable and kind. It has all the things a young reader could ask for plus a spicy goat. I really liked it.

Well that was just adorably sweet. It's quintessential middle grade fantasy. And it proves that you don't need to write a 500 page tome, whole worlds can be created in 245 pages.
