This is my third time reading it aloud all the way through with my daughter (age 4, age 6, and age 8 1/2). Each time brings new joys and laughter. We love referring to the map at the beginning, and we take turns doing the voices. A treasure for all ages.

No but those last three or so chapters did not need to be so heart wrenching 😭.

This is a classic--I appreciate the innocent but clever sensibility much more now than I would have as a child.

This review is just for Winnie-the-Pooh: I loved this just as much as the kids did. I love the writing style of A.A. Milne and of course we love the characters. Classic for all ages.

Phew this was a long book that I’d read a part of (a chapter was long, especially at bedtime!) to Theo over the span of a couple months. Like maybe even 6 months lol. Each part of the book had like 10 chapters so it was a lot for sure! BUT it’s such a quintessential children’s book that brought me right back to my childhood. This one was extra special as it was gifted to Theo from my grandma for one of his birthdays and it made me smile thinking of her and how she would love to have seen Theo reading some pages for me.

The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it really is hard to read. It’s old and it’s written like a child would speak so it’s not grammatically correct and it sometimes is nonsensical but again- that’s the point. But reading it aloud was definitely challenging at some points! The last chapter really made me tear up though!!
