Kat is in high school, works at her mom's midwife business, and has had a huge crush on Manny Cruz since middle school. As the year goes on, she starts writing in a journal, recording her "Facts of Life". Her mom tries to control her life more than Kat would like and Manny actually seems interested, but everything turns out to be more complicated than Kat thought it would.

It was a fine read from an interesting perspective, but not particularly memorable.

This book was absolutely amazing. When I first started it, I expected it to be the typical teenage book with the seemingly always present weird twist. But it wasn't. This book caused me to laugh, cry (almost), and even talk out loud to myself. I finished it in less than a day. It's one of those books you can't put down.

Kat works for her mother at a midwifery, where her mother tries to mold her, often missing the mother part of mothering. Kat struggles through relationships-friends, families and love. But in it all, she finds her way with the help of her journal.
A fun book. I liked the characters-who can't love a girl who does yoga in the hallway! And again, it reminds me that high school can be a rough place to have to pass through. I think there are a lot of teenage girls that will love this book.
