An adorable little counting adventure, perfect for Halloween.
The book follows ten little ghosts to the tune "The Ants Go Marching" and comes up with some cute, unique rhymes for each one.
Nice illustrations that are more fun than spooky. They were simple but fun. I just loved those creaky blue trees.
I picked this book up from the library for one of the kids I work with who loves Halloween and spooky things. She enjoyed the silly ghosts and all of the monsters/costumes.

Ehh, I'll give it 3 stars, but only the young kids would find this 3 stars. That is the target audience. It's sort of like the 12 days of Christmas in that each page is simply a rhyme repeating up the numbers with each new ghost doing something silly. It would make a great song if it was annoying and a melody you couldn't get out of your head. My nephew would love that.
It's the book I found for Halloween and I wish it had been better. I got to the library late and it's the best I could do.
Happy Halloween.
I did read Poe's 'The Raven' to the kids tonight and they were squirmy and sort of bored, so they are still too young for that. I enjoyed that.
