This book lives up to its name. It takes you on the Descent of Brad and Daphne. We learn what is going on with Daphne and what she had to endure. We also learn all of the things that Brad did to protect his family. Helen has done an amazing job and I always look forward to reading her stories.

With every turn of the page Helen Hardt takes the reader on one hell of a ride. Lies, deception, questions, answers and mayhem - and that is only the first few chapters. Brad and Daphne's story takes numerous twist and turns and I personally was left breathless. For every one step forward Brad's actions take him two steps back. With beautifully written characters Helen Hardt proves once again that her storylines are masterpieces that the readers never want to have end.

The Steel Brothers saga comes full circle as the veil of mystery lifts in this emotionally charged and extremely well written conclusion of Brad and Daphne's story. Shaking me to my very foundation, and challenging all my preconceived notions, my heart is still racing long after the last page. Five stars for this read that meets and exceeds all expectations!

We get a lot more of the backstory with Brad, Daphne, and Wendy. We learn more about Daphne's illness as well as Wendy's evil ways.

It took me a lot longer to read this book than the others. Not because it wasn’t good but because it was painful and I needed mental breaks.
My heart hurts so much for Daphne and even Brad.
I didn’t like so much about this book, not because it was poorly written but just because it hurt.

The last book for each character always goes so hard. it never disappoints and I was fully captivated. I read this book in one sitting and it was so good. Daphne was such a strong character and I loved seeing her full journey as a mother with all four of her kids. It was crazy to see the events that happened in the beginning of the series unravel from a different perspective. I loved Daphne and Brad as a couple and Brad truly was the definition of the anti-hero, so part of me was still rooting for him the whole time. The spice in this one was great and there was so much tension throughout the story. I was on the edge of my seat an this one pulled me in without a doubt. I love this series so freaking much holy cow!!
