This was a win. I enjoyed this waaay more than I thought I would. The plot - amazing, the writing - incredible. All in all this was great. I loved the characters and the discussions throughout the book. It kept me intrigued all the way through! So ready for the next books in the series. New fave!

I'll be the first to admit that neither historical nor speculative fiction are up my alley, I enjoyed this immensely. With a unique plot and an amazing main character I was hooked throughout the entire thing. Yael is just amazing, I don't know how else to describe her. Her story, wants, motivations, struggles are all gripping and I found myself attached by the first few pages. The concept of a motorcycle race to kill Hitler is so unique and executed so well, I adored it. Not fully my thing, but worth the read.

I originally read Wolf by Wolf a couple of years ago (and loved it!!) but decided to reread it before continuing on to Blood for Blood (the second book in the series) because I had almost completely forgotten what had happened.

Anyways, tHIS BOOK IS SO UNDERRATED PLEASE READ IT. I kinda went into it thinking that it wouldn't be as good as it was in my memory, but haha nope it was just as amazing as the first time. Just- read it.

The constant reminder of Yael's trauma and lack of identity became annoying and gringy. Though I understood why Yael felt paranoid while dealing with Felix and Luka it got to a point were it felt as an excuse to not develop neither the plot nor Yael nor the relationships she was having to deal with.

Supposedly she accepted who she is thanks to Vlad's training (and yes, she was triggered during the race) but her actions and thoughts during the race only made me doubtful of how strong she truly was that she even learned from what Vlad had thought her.
