I enjoyed watching the anime and reading the light novel, but I find I can't enjoy the manga as much. The artwork isn't all that great and I admit to being a bit of a snob about visual aesthetics. I'm going to read the next volume to give the manga version a chance.

A solid 4 star affair. I was ready to write this one off but it ended up surprising me. It was fun, fast-paced, and filled with adventure. The video game, RPG-esque leveling up that happens throughout kept me eager to find out how much the main character would develop and grow after each encounter. Plus, there's ZERO fan service (aside from the cover art) which was a plus in my book. I can't wait to read the next volume!

There's this one friend who doesn't give book recommendations much, but when she says "you have to read this" you know that you HAVE to read this. The premise is that a girl gets caught in an explosion and suddenly finds herself in a video game. But not as a typical video game hero, but as a small and lowly spider monster. She uses her know-how of video games to survive and level up, and she's so determined and clever, you can't help but root for the cute little spider monster!
