When I first saw that Tobias S. Buckell was from the island of Grenada and had many science-fiction awards for his novel I had to listen to his short stories. I have enjoyed listening to this story about Li, a fish merchant. It captures the sense of the being a fish merchant and the limitations of his life. And it defintely reflects the Caribbean influence even though these characters are Cantonese. Even though it is poignant, I wish there was more.
