Jonathan Bazzi's novel is a sexy, emotional and romantic look at a gay man looking for love and connections in Italy. Bazzi's lush and crystalline prose creates an engrossing and shocking read about how the narrator (fictional stand in for Jonathan Bazzi?) yearns for love, but doesn't always know what to do with it. His behavior can be maddening and abrupt, but who can be mad at someone who finds love and desire at a Miley Cyrus concert? The ending is sensual and romantic, and one of my favorite endings to a book. This would be a wonderful companion piece to Justin Torres's Blackouts.
