Incredible main character, with a complex climax. As something that is interpreting a well-known epic, there's a lot of ways that a book like this can stumble, but I think this is an honest and fantastic interpretation that adds even more complexity and humanity to it.

So many thoughts, I’ll update this review with them later. But I absolutely adored this book. The nuance, depth, the combination of different versions of the Ramayana. Completely lived up to my expectations and is exactly what the inner hindu myth loving child in me needed.
