Thatch is an idiot...in so many ways. Clarissa is.so naive. But I hope shes right about Elric. I love this book. The writing is wonderful. I can't help but laugh out loud.

Release Date: 04 Oct 2018 Author: Sarina Dorie
Publisher: Residental
Genre: Sci Fi & Fantasy
Rating: 4.0/5.0
One sentence review: A lighthearted and fun read filled with humour and fantastical adventure.
Premise: In a magical world, a witch drained of magic navigates several misadventures.
Review: Dorie delivers an action-packed fantastical adventure with a dash of romance that satisfies in under three hundred pages. These books are like watching a favourite television programme. You can easily picture the situations, you care deeply about the characters (even when they drive you mad), and you are left with a decent conclusion, but also could devour the entire series in one sitting if life gave you the time to do so.
This series is starting to turn into a love fest for the main character, which can be a bit frustrating for me. (We all know my deep hatred for a love triangle, but a love quadrilateral?!) Yet, Dorie handles it in a way that is more entertaining and often humorous than frustrating. I plan on getting my hands on the rest of this series to see how it all plays out.

In book 8 of the Womby's School for Wayward Witches series, Clarissa has an unexpected and unwelcome surprise when her art club tries out the kiln that they built. What results is Clarissa and most of those students getting badly injured and Prince Elric from the fae court comes to her rescue. Clarissa has to agree to a magical binding contract in exchange for his assistance. Now the question is.... is the price too high or will she even be able to fulfill the contract before the expiration date.
I think this was my favorite book yet. I could not put it down. It left me on edge waiting for the other shoe to drop on Clarissa & Elric's arrangement. You know the saying... if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. This book, and this whole series, is definitely a must-read!
