IMO, this is by far the best story in the entire collection. I'd liken it to the film Parasite, in which we get a semi-comedic, somewhat satirical story about class and privilege that evolves into something truly chilling and thought-provoking. I also think this is one of the cleverest uses and dissections of Instagram I've seen in fiction. I really liked My Sister the Serial Killer and am super excited about this author. I can't wait to see what she does next.

cw: death of child?
I had to pick this up because I loved My Sister the Serial Killer. For a short story, I was in it and had a strong physical reaction to the thing, and then enjoyed the twist.

When I finished 'My Sister the Serial Killer', I looked around for more from this author and came across this short story available individually. It is a very short piece and I really enjoyed it. It shares some similar themes in terms of constructing social media lives, social inequality and gender relations of the novel. I'd say the writing isn't as sharp but the characters are nicely drawn within the scope of the form. I'm definitely anticipating more from this author still...
Not really a 4 and 3 seems stingy - my a 1-5 scale is a blunt instrument
