So the story of Evie & Reed continues right where it left off. I really like the creativeness of this story, and bringing in a new villain...awesome! This was a guy you could really dislike, but strangely, I found that I liked him too...and felt for him too. What is that all about??

SpoilerI really didn't like the part where Evie gets all martyrish and leaves Reed and her friends behind "to protect them". This whole portion of the book made me groan and skim, soooo boring. I felt like I was reading New Moon all over again and I really didn't like that book.

The last third of the story was absolutely fascinating and I loved the ending. Overall, I liked this, but the middle was too much like New Moon and it pulled my rating from a 4 to a 3.

Ahhh! Just when you think things couldn't possibly get anymore screwed up, it does.

I really enjoyed the second book in the Premonition series. For the most part, I had no complaints. The action was great, the emotion was fantastic, and the story continued to get more intense. There were small things that bugged me a little bit.

Russell. He is someone who I grew towards a lot more in this book then in the first. He has changed so much, but on so many different good levels. I loved him more in every chapter. We get to see a couple chapters in Russell's POV, which I didn't really like to be honest. Don't get me wrong, I liked being in Russell's head for a little while but it was just for a brief moment. Either he should have had more chapters, or none at all.

Evie. The whole series is called Premonition, so why didn't we feel and see those premonition's more? We got a glance or two at the nightmares she is always having but it didn't feel like it mattered in this story. For the theme to be her premonition's I wanted to get into her head more and visualize those nightmares as much as she did. Evie is still extremely badass and still shows her human emotions which I thought was great because I don't want her to completely change and us not have that piece of Evie we all love and knew from the very beginning. This girl attracts everyone. Seriously. Can I be like Evie? Just for one day? Must be exhausting getting all the attention isn't it Evie?

Reed. No words needed for this guy. The only downfall I had was that we didn't get to spend as much time with him as we did in the first book. Reed is amazing. Evie and Reed test their relationship to the max and the outcome? Well I'll leave that out so I don't ruin anything ;)

Enough chit-chat. I need to move onto book 3. :)

Fantastic book - taking your breath away with the intensity of the plot! There are many new terrific characters in this installment, there are many adventures, bad and great decisions, surprises, beautiful and sad moments, humour, sorrow, love and revenge. Amazing book! A must-read!

I really liked this one. Just how many more guys are going to fall in love with her? Reed and Russ are good for her.

I managed to get a lot more character development from this installment of the series. I still found myself rolling my eyes at most of Evie's actions but overall I found this to an enjoyable read.

In hindsight, my choice to read AND finish this series is a questionable decision. My impression of this book is definitely worse now than it was in the moment, but here's my initial review:

This book is probably my least favorite of them all, or maybe tied with Book 1? I hate/like it for different reasons, so at least it's not the same.

Things That I Liked:
Evie Grows Some Balls: Evie decides to leave Reed and the gang to protect them, which I'm like YAY SHE GREW SOME BALLS AND SHE DECIDED SHE'S GOING TO TAKE CARE OF HERSELF INSTEAD OF BEING A PASSIVE LIKE BITCH. (See Love Triangle for more details)

Plot Twist: Again, another plot twist I didn't really expect! I liked the change of pace with Evie being kidnapped from Brennus

Overall, I loved the story. Evie kind of made me mad throughout a lot of the book, which is why it gets 4 rather than 5 stars. I miss Evie from book 1. That being said, bring on the next book!

My boyfriend expressed quite a bit of concern and tossed me some quizzical stares as I went through this book. I reacted like a crazy person I think LOL ... tossing the book, holding my head in my hands and rocking back and forth, trouble catching my breath, suddenly leaving the room grumbling to myself LOL. So you can imagine his relief when I finally finished it. But let me tell you ... it was totally worth his almost taking me to have my head examined. LOL. There was so much suspense and feeling in this book not to mention a hell of a storyline I felt overwhelmed at times - but what a ride!!!

One of my issues with the first book in this series was Evie's reliance on Reed for permission to breathe, so I was encouraged when this book started out with Evie taking steps toward independence. However, as the story progressed, I saw Evie falter, flounder, and fail at being a person by herself. I will not be reading the rest of the series. The story simply isn't to my taste, though it seems to be written well and has very interesting moments.
