Angela Knight never fails to disappoint if steamy romance with an unusual plotline is what you are looking for. The small town reporter, fighting against the ghost of her abusive father meets the superhuman from the future, sent back in time to catch a time traveling wacko who was also responsible for the Jack the Ripper murders, and begins doing them all over again in present day America. I thought this was a great read, and can't wait to see more from the warlord universe, as well as more from Ms. Knight's magiverse. :-)

I've ready many of Angela's books and loved them. This one was not that way for me. The story was good but I felt like it dragged at times.

DNF
Not even Jack the Ripper could save this book from it's triteness.

A Jack the Ripper themed time travel/sci fi romance and it kicks booty!!!

I have had this book on my wishlist for so many years, like probably since I started blogging have I had this one on my list. Thats a dang long time to have a book on one's TBR. But I really enjoyed it and was super funny. It definitely had a OG feel to the writing style of it, but I quite enjoyed it. I really enjoyed how this story was developed and the elements of sci fi with time travel left me on the edge of my seat.

So basically the gist of the story is that the hero, is from the future about 300 years from our time period. He is a elite warrior, and called a "warlord" which is a protector and goes on all sorts of missions. So think secret ops of his time. He is called to task on a mission to go back in time to (our day, and try to rescue a woman who is about to be killed by the Jack The Ripper who has been causing ripples of time killing innocent women. But when he meets Jane, chemistry explodes between them. He is determined to protect her even knowing that he will be leaving and that their time together is very temporary.

What was most intriguing was first their first meeting, because its kinda stalkerish but I was down for it. haha There is such great alpha vibes in this one and we also see how well these two get along together even when they are fighting. And the warlord's sidekick wolf creature, yeah he was awesome. Always trying to get them to have sex together, it was pretty awesome! I was so fascinated in seeing how they came together. Now the whole Jane coming to the truth, I was on board with. I was so happy that she didn't fight what was the truth in front of her. It was quite refreshing to have an heroine who was on board with it all and willing to do her part.

I wouldn't say that this is a perfect book, the pacing is a bit off at times throughout it and it did have a style of writing that took some adjustment because this style of writing is NOT common these days. But I was really drawn into this couple and adored seeing them together. I am curious about this world and this author for sure. I definitely will be exploring more of her works and soon!

"Jane's Warlord" is alright, it just isn't amazing. Compared to Angela Knight's other novels, I would say it isn't quite up to par. While reading it, I felt like I couldn't relate to anything about any of the characters, and I couldn't get a clear image of what the characters were like. If you start out with this book of Angela's and don't like it, continue reading the other books that she has written and you might like them more.

OH MY GOD this was awesome!!!! jane is in most sex scenes (trust me there were alot) "eroticly helpless" although she does take the lead two times. origanly my first reason to reading this novel was that it sounded like there were going to be lots of detailed, hot, and heavy sex (which there was) but as i got reading i was also interseted in the plot. theres this serial killer makeing theses like prono killing things and is now after jane and her protecter dude from the future, baran is so insanely sexy!!
The imporant information: 6 sex scenes, most with bondage he's on top 4 times, if you want sex read this.
