This book was cute and I enjoyed reading it. That being said, I also personally think it was flawed.

In my personal opinion I don't think everything in the beginning or throughout the book was actually necessary. I think perhaps it was trying to go for a Pride and Prejudice feel (which admittedly I have not read in quite some time and may be a bad comparison, but from what I remember this is true.)

While reading it I felt like the beginning just dragged on, but admittedly after I got 100+ pages in I got a bit more interested. Personally I enjoy two characters who don't believe they get along well actually falling for each other so I did enjoy that aspect of the story.

Now, I must admit that I don't think they two characters really interacted enough to have both fallen so hopelessly in love with each other. Perhaps I'm wrong but I felt like they should have had a few more meaningful interactions. I do remember them hinting at them spending intimate time together while going over her stepfathers affairs, but I wish that was stressed more or shown.

Another thing, was the horribly cheesy and super abrupt ending. The begining of the book didn't do it for me, but the middle was interesting enough that I was considering it possibly a 4 stars book until I got to the end. It was cute but so quick. Most of the book felt like a slow trudge to get to the finish line and then the end went from 0 to 100 real quick.

Again, I enjoyed the book for the most part.

I really enjoyed this book.
It reminded me a little of Jane Austen's 'Emma'.

I enjoyed reading this book, but it didn't blow me away.

Once you get past the excruciatingly described clothing and furnishings, a decent romance.
