“take it from me, blake, even the most unexpected places and people can turn into the greatest adventures. and then I moved to huckabee, and met you, and it became real in a whole new way.”

The lucky list is a beautiful summer teen romance. Emily’s journey through losing her identity, her friends, and struggling to hold on to her mom in anyway she can is told beautifully. Blake is a character that makes me feel warm and fuzzy, She is the type of person to stick by your side no matter what happens. How Blake and Emily fall for each other over the course of the book is so natural, pure and sweet. The imagery in this book is spectacular and I was able to paint a picture in my mind with ease. Although stories told in the first prison are not usually ones I enjoy reading, Lippincott is just incredible at capturing the emotions of a young girl on a difficult emotional journey. I give this book 5/5 starts on my second re read and will be back for more!
