More poetry for National Poetry Month!

This was another powerful collection. I recommend this to anyone who doesn't like their poetry overly flowery or lyrical. These poems offer a feminist look on Black culture.

beautiful poetry
my favorite quote was from a side note: "history isn't something you look back at and say it was inevitable; it happens because people make decisions that are sometimes very impulsive and of the moment, but those moments are cumulative realities."

Great book. Heard the author read some poems aloud. Very moving. The characters are loveable
