This was a good book. I enjoyed rereading it. Addy is such a great character. She is also smart too. Plus she has a big heart and wants her mama to be happy. She also hopes that her poppa and brother and sister come back. Addy got a few Christmas surprises

Happy Black History Month 2017! I hadn't realized when I checked this out from the library that it would coincide with this yearly celebration. Addy Walker is such a special character and is a good influence for young girls, especially ones of color. In Addy's Surprise, I admired her selflessness where she put others' needs before her own. Her choices were rewarded in the end for her good deeds and I can't say that I would have such a courageous action when I was her age. Plus, her Christmas dress is adorable.

Can't remember much of this installment. I just know I didn't like it much. Oh well, there's always one dud in each series.
