Title: Apocalyptic Beginnings Box Set

I had thought this was a short story collection, but it is the first book in all these independent authors’ series and as such, was long. 3,580 pages to be exact. So approximately ten times longer than a normal novel. My Kindle even freaked out and couldn’t display the page count tick marks on the contents screen. I’m not going to individually review all these zombie books, even though that would totally count for my book count for the year.
This is a collection of your usual suspects’ zombie books. None of them are great, but some are serviceable. The first one, “Invasion” by M.D. Massey is clearly written by a right-winger. I don‘t know what about the zombie genre attracts these type of authors but I wish they would keep their politics out of their writing. The rest of these are unremarkable. I read most of it, so I guess I’d recommend it.
