AS I was reading this I kept forgetting it was written in the 1930's. It has has a total "Prometheus" (the movie) feel to it. It can be slow at some points but the ending chapters gave me a chill. I know see what he is known as the king of horror!

I read several comic adaptations of Lovecraft's stories, manga adaptation of "At the Mountain of Madness" being one of the very good ones, but this series of books by I.N.J. Cullbard are just wonderful.

Presented in the wonderful drawings, this story was truly augmented and presented in the most cinematic way possible. Story itself follows the original Lovecraft's novel but manages to create the pressure of unseen terror, always that something lurking from within shadows without making the visual presentation difficult to the eyes.

Excellent adaptations, highly recommended to all fans of horor and especially Lovecraft.

I am biased because I frickin love comics but this was a lot more entertaining than the book :) ha I am glad I read the book though. I love having the strong understanding of literature before graphic novels or movie.
This book did help me a ton on visualizing the monsters of this Madness Mountain and even some of the story structure.
The art is great and was literally the only reason I picked this up in the first place. Glad I read it and it has driven me to read more Lovecraft so that's badass also :)

Love your asses,
Justin
