This edition of National Geographic is a condensed version of Kara Cooney’s newest book, [b:When Women Ruled the World: Six Queens of Egypt|42591406|When Women Ruled the World Six Queens of Egypt|Kara Cooney|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1540913214l/42591406._SX50_.jpg|59338301]. This provides a wonderful introduction to these six women and how they ruled Egypt. The layout of photographs, maps, and illustrations that are provided in this magazine were wonderful and made you feel as if you had stepped back in time.

I highly suggest picking up this magazine if you are a fan of Ancient Egypt or are interested in reading Cooney’s book. It will give you an idea of her writing style and the subject matter, plus the pictures are a wonderful bonus that the book doesn’t have.
