Ho sentimenti molto contrastanti su questo romanzo. Per certi versi, è migliore del primo, in cui non succedeva granché: qui è tutto un colpo di scena. Anche se si passa troppo tempo a girovagare nei boschi. I personaggi muoiono come mosche. Nathan uccide gente a destra e a manca, senza sentirsi troppo in colpa. E' una guerra, dopo tutto.

Il personaggio più irritante è, ancora una volta, Annalise. Seriamente, c'è anche una sola persona che tifi per Annalise e Nathan insieme? O che non odi Annalise per quello che fa alla fine di questo romanzo?

Nell'ultima riga, Nathan rivela che il suo proposito è inseguirla... ma io spero che l'ucciderà. In fondo è stata Annalise a uccidere Marcus. E' stata lei a causare la grande disfatta dell'Alleanza. Tanto buona e tanto pura, e poi manda tutti a morte. A questo punto non credo che complottasse con il Consiglio per tradire Nathan, ma il tradimento c'è stato eccome.

Di solito il protagonista non finisce mai insieme all'amico gay, ma non vedo come possa stare insieme ad Annalise adesso.

This second installment is much darker than the first one and I would say also more plot-driven. I have high expectations for the third and last book of the series. I hope I won't be disappointed.
