I give this 4 stars because I LOVE this universe but I had a bit of a hard time letting the story sink in. I'm also SUPER picky about the art in graphic novels and this art wasn't my favourite. But! VERY good if you already like the Red Rising universe.

3.5 stars. Fun first entry of a trilogy of graphic novels preceding the events of Red Rising. It suffers from a lack of Pierce Brown’s prose, but I will take anything that takes place in this world he’s created.
