I really enjoyed my reading experience of The Chaos. This is a dystopian, post apocalyptic novel where we follow the story of humanity trying to survive. There is a major war in the United States and the world as we know it is left in havoc and we are now invaded by night monsters. The author refers to this world as The Chaos. Our main characters are a father and son duo named Alejandro and Charlie. I loved having the positive latino rep in this book. This book really pushes you to think about what will happen in a disaster. It shows you the extremes that people will go to for survival. There is definitely questions of character morality and you get to see how different people navigate through The Chaos. The main characters run into other human survivors and you really get to see the different mindsets that Thr Chaos has created. I felt the night monsters (Los Noches) were very intriguing beasts to add to the story. Human vs beasts, both trying to survive in a world, and who is really the monster? It's a very open ended concept that the author left open for interpretation.

This was an ok read most of the way through, nothing special but entertaining enough. I had been wondering where Mr Gomez's typical gore was and then that end happened.. ah, there it is lol.. I actually loved the end, it saved this from just being ok for me

This was fantastic and really makes you think about being in a situation like this. Once again Sergio writes a story that keeps me pulled in the entire time.
