I liked that the liar revealed plot never was forced. I like that Lizzie behaved like a good person all the way through. I didn't really care for either of the mcs I didn't find them very compelling. I really loved the brother and I actually just finished reading his book and maybe my expectations were a little high.

Isaac is a convicted murderer who's served his time, he has trust issues and he's a bit reclusive/quiet because he thinks it's wrong for people to treat him like a star just because he's written a couple of books about the penal system. Then he meets Lizzie who flat out tells him that him profiting off his victims death is vulgar.
Lizzie is a former prima ballerina who has developed Type 1 diabetes, she wasn't initially taking care of herself and she was told to take a break, instead she quit. She now teaches private lessons to the Spencer's 3 daughters, then their father decides to blackmail her into getting information he can use against Isaac to get him to sign his new, very bad, contract.
This is an angsty story with interesting MC's. TW: homophobia(severe)

LOVE this romance that doesn't look like that but that addresses many things (taboo of homosexuality, diabetes, blackmail etc. etc.) and that I found very original ! I loved the heroine (how much I cried for her !!) and I found the hero so endearing <3

I get why Talia isn’t rereleasing this book and its predecessor. The MMC has zero depth and his internal dialogue is sooooo repetitive. I don’t need his pov. Ew. Also the spice was not spicing. Their first kiss was so underwhelming.

i would do anything for talia hibbert, including read books with these horrendous covers

howeverrrr this book fell a little flat for me. the “enemies” part of an enemies to lovers romance was basically none existent. i felt like their chemistry, beyond the intimate, was quite surface level.

also there was a lotttt of flowery language and dialogue that didn’t hit the spot for me

things i did like:
- the fact it’s written by talia hibbert
- the smut !!?
- the concept
- lizzie’s journey in accepting and dealing with her diabetes
- the three sisters were so cute
- lizzie’s relationship with her brother

once again, i don’t feel it’s fair to rate a book the author has made “mysteriously disappear” but i had a blast with this. talia hibbert just has a way of writing that clicks with me
