With this I finish my last Hercule Poirot. It’s both an achievement and a great loss to have finished the whole series because I don’t any Poirots to look forward to. I like that Poirot reached his old age with Agatha making sure not to leave any room for doubts over his death. It was such a respectable ending to the story of the great detective.
Catch him calling Hastings dumb even in his afterlife though. Oh god I really didn’t think he was gonna die in this one. He will be missed

Read it in one evening. So... I thought the eventually revealed backstory regarding the villain Poirot was seeking was rather fanciful and far-fetched ... but then, wow was that whole concluding section effective!

What an ending to Hercule Poirot. The perfect murderer. The twists and turns. I don't think I can say too much - Agatha Christie created a great closing chapter for our favorite detective.
Farwell, mon ami. Adieu.
