Read this a couple of years after watching the original production, so my perception may have been influenced by that.
The play was strong and unmistakably McDonagh. Dark, and edgy, and farcical, and casual about it.
Quick and easy to read, some lovely dialogue that’ll make you chuckle, and a minimum of three parts that seem like a ton of fun to do (Harry, Mooney, Shirley).
