First let me say that Little Mate is the prequel to Little Lies! I haven't read it yet so for me it was like starting at the beginning. I read this while I spent the weekend in the hospital and I will say this was a quick read. It would have really helped to have read the other book first so please understand my review is without having much knowledge of the characters.

That being said, this was how Gabriella and Theodore's story began. It gives the story of her parents being killed and her being on the run while he searches for her. I now am going to read Little Lies and will say this kept me entertained when I really wanted to just be home. Anything that can do that while being hooked up to machines equals quality, well written work by the author.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. This review was originally posted on Wickedly Romance

Theo and Gabby’s story means so much more now that their beginning has been told! Their love transcends all time and space, I truly enjoyed this part of their lives. Theo’s possessive alpha personality really came through the pages while Gabby gave the badA heroine title all new meaning. Having read the first book i had a whole new appreciation for all of the little details that were explained in more detail. I can’t wait to get more of them!!

**RECEIVED ARC FOR HONEST OPINION**

So this was my first time reading from this author. I was a bit confused since on amazon this book was labeled as number 2 in the series but it read as though it was the first book. I was worried that it would not stand alone and that I would have to read the first book but that was not the case. This nook read as though it was the first one in the series. It did feel as though I was going back and forth time though. When Theo would refer to him home as a castle or palace, yet there were certain ways that they would talk that would make it seem modern. Although there were some grammar errors I did enjoy the story line but I wish it went a bit deeper into Theo's side of the family. I mean he the son of a god (devil) and a human. There are many questions that were left unanswered and the two epilogue confused me totally. The next book is about Gabriella sister Isabella and her mate. Now is this going to tell their story of how they met or will it just pick up from where this book left off??
