I am not sure why this book does not have 5 stars! It is phenomenal. I love the message it teaches. I love that it points out you might not be strong at something right this minute, but as you practice, or accept help, you will eventually be strong. It is a great story of resilience that both kids and adults should read.

I love that this shows other ways of showing strength - that it's not always about being physically strong. And that it's ok to accept help!

Oh, I love this!!! Such a fabulous companion to Be Kind. It's lovely in the gentle way it teaches various components that can make someone appear stay strong, & is an important message for kids. And I appreciate that it's not about the problematic "growth mindset" or "grit", but truly multidimensional in how we can show strength of character. Perfect for your SEL text sets!
