3.5. I like both these people so much and it is so great to see them succeed. Honestly, my one complaint is that this wasn't enough, a single essay on a whole year? Hello, I need so much more than that! I wanted way more behind the scenes, especially about the Night Vale years.

This book tells the story of the relationship of Joseph Fink and Meg Bashwiner over the first ten years of their relationship, with each one getting to tell their take on each year, without correction from the other. 

While the two perspectives may differ at points, what is consistent throughout is the love and consideration these two have for one another, as well as the humor and talent they have. Additionally, it is wonderful how they normalize not only the trials and tribulations of a relationship (as they clearly discuss fights, yelling, and almost breaking up), but also their own mental health struggles, the impact society has had on them, and striving to make their own dreams a reality. 

Really an enjoyable read.

As someone who seeks out to learn all she can about relationships, I enjoyed reading about the way these two remembered differently at times. I also admire Joseph admitting to not necessarily wanting a kid, but looking forward to them being a person.
