A great concept and well-delivered: sweet and funny and sometimes heartbreaking, all in all warm and inspiring. I was already invested in the authors' personal and professional journeys, though, as a fan of their work; I'm not sure how well this will stand up for folks who are unfamiliar with their content. Maybe it doesn't matter.

I was immediately drawn to this concept of each Meg & Joseph telling their story as they remember it without consulting each other!

I absolutely adored this book! Beginning when they first met, going through jobs, their love story, loss and also plenty of hilarious moments to make you laugh out loud! Meg’s writing is so down to earth and will make you laugh nonstop while also making you feel inspired. Joseph is the perfect balance and will have you feeling his heartache and love early in the book!

Easy and fairly interesting read. Very relaxing, nice to pick up and read a small serving each day. It’s inspiring to read the love and partial life story of people whose work I enjoy, and I enjoyed peeking into their world for the hundred or so pages that they allowed me.

Beautiful, breathtaking, amazing. Every once in a while we have to step out of our own bubbles and realize that everyone around us has a different perspective. Even those closest to us, in our most intimate relationships. An amusing story of the differences between accounts of the exact same story. It's extremely interesting to see the differences in details emphasized, what's a significant detail to one person may not even be acknowledged by the other.

Is this a love story? Yes. Is this a memoir? Also yes. Is this a collaborative non-fiction grouping of year-based essays by two genuinely amazing people? Without a doubt.

Reading (and discovering) the discrepancies, the idiosyncrasies, the focal points in chapters written by Meg and Joseph gives this book a whole extra dimension of experience. Between the tidbits of advice and the cackle-worthy anecdotes, there’s an inimitable structure to this book.

Highly recommended.

Clever and funny, this is a relatable love story written by a quirky couple that made me happy. It is the best kind of romance - real, but still sweet. As a Welcome to Night Vale fan, I loved listening to the audio version, it seemed the best way to take in the story.
