This story is a wintry paranormal romance with a human-fated mate, multiple shifters, and a damaged MC. While I enjoyed the protective Alpha instincts and the steamy scenes, the rest of the additions to the book, like the action-packed and gruesome fights, weren't essential. They did little to interest me in the reverse harem that was the predominant part of the book. It just made it more complicated. However, it was a good paranormal romance read with Instalove and a curvy MC.

Laney is a writer heading to snowy Montana to find inspiration and wildness in her typically planned life. Her road trip only goes partially unplanned.

Connor is Alpha to Cameron and Adam. All the men are hot and robust shifters.

Of course, she is their human mate, which makes this story more interesting. There are parts of this story where the author hasn't worked out all the details of the reverse harem, multiple houses for the guys and families, and some interactions seem forced.
This book gets instalove and steamy quickly as we get into the coupling in the reverse harem. It is all about the fated mates, but the author includes some LGBTQ+ items as well. Of course, it can't be just simple. It has to get more paranormal involved.

This book is very graphic as they fight the darkness that arrives in Snow Falls. One villain is out of the story, and another catastrophe takes place; meanwhile, I'm more interested in the story behind Tyla. I could have read and enjoyed the story far more without the ulterior plot lines. The human mate story and adjustment to life with three men and the peculiarities of it would have been entertaining enough; the author didn't need to add anything else. This story embraces lots of winter weather and mentions it in the story.

Jenn D. Young is quickly becoming a new favorite of mine! Each book mentions other characters and I want their stories too!

Jenn D. Young isn't the only author I discovered because of the Silver Springs series. I think most of the authors I'm reading nowadays I discovered because of Silver Springs. It's just a great way to get to know the writing style of an author, to see where the focus lies in their books, to discover if their characters click. And Jenn D. Young was certainly an author I liked in the Silver Springs series. So, when I got the chance to read an arc for this book I didn't hesitate.

In a lot of ways a big part of the plot of this story isn't too original. A woman gets lost, ends up in a small town, gets rescued by some handsome men and these men are secretly shifters and discover the woman is their mate, but she's human so they have to figure out how to break the news to her. However, the originality of this story lies in the finale, when small things mentioned by characters come together and when an epic showdown follows.

Until the finale the story focusses mostly on the characters and their bond. Although the attraction between these characters in there from the start, Young takes her time to also have the characters build a more emotional connection. They have meaningful conversations, they dare to be vulnerable around each other and they learn that honesty is the best way to clear the air. I liked how this made the relationship more than just fate telling them they were good together. We saw they really were.

It also gives the individual characters in the story the time to grow and learn and to most of all find their own self worth. I have to admit I'm not always a fan of needing love interests to find that self worth, but in this case it was actually quite nicely done. Neither of the characters really had to change themselves. They simply had to learn to trust that being themselves, with scars and history, is more than enough for the others.

While looking for a quick read in between my other fantasy series, I came across this book. A why choose shifter romance, short, sexy, and well liked. But when I read it, I was disappointed. The pacing in this book is all over the place; slow and then fast and then slow again. Our main character is on the run from her abusive ex, driving to her best friends house, when she gets lost in a blizzard with no gas. She practically freezes to death, until she's rescued by three snow lepord shifters, who shockingly realize she is their mate. I really wanted to like this, but all of their relationships felt off. I would try to specify which ones, but I've already forgotten their names. The conflict of the book felt minor on account of one of the character's powers, and then the ending felt shallow, and I have no intention on continuing the series.

This book just had all the feels and I caught all of them.
This was a roller coaster of emotions with some action and don't get me started on those steamy parts.
I loved the guys in this as I have a love for alpha males who will do all they can to protect the FMC and don't lord their BDE all around.
This book was one of my most loved for this month and one i know ill read again.

FMC does NOTHING but cry. She’s way overly emotional about everything. Otherwise it’s a cute read, but it felt like she was crying about something every chapter.

I'm 90% sure at least one of them is going to get (re)traumatized and I'm not going to risk it. I'm outta here.
