I'm always intrigued to read a book that sets science in the realm of the public. This book while it has some good discourse about the erosion of science authority and lack of trust in science, is littered with statements that aren't well-substantiated. He naively assumes that most scientists aren't religious and says that religion should have absolutely no bearing on anything in science. He is woefully non-specific when he gives examples on most of his points, especially climate change, GMOs and creation/evolution. As a scientist I wish he spent less time expounding these verbose philosophical views and giving more facts.
