I enjoyed this book. It was a pretty quick read. I was able to finish it in an afternoon. I liked Michael, Violet, her brother Allyn, and Michael's best friend, Cam.

I usually choose a book based on the description, and if I'm still unsure I may read the reviews. Normally I don't read them until after I have finished the book. I'm glad I waited until I was done to read these reviews.

Some things that occurred in the book stretched the limits of being realistic, but they weren't totally unrealistic. I held my breath waiting for what I thought should have happened, only to discover that it wasn't going to happen. I would say some situations were more UNLIKELY as opposed to unrealistic.

There were some surprises, like Michael's dominant personality seeming to come out of the blue. Violet stood up for what she wanted and was strong enough to hold steady until she got it, as opposed to being another whiny woman.

I was fully expecting Michael to have some kind of miraculous recovery, and was pleasantly surprised when it didn't happen. Michael and Violet worked together to handle the issue of how his disability affected their relationship.

The only thing I would have liked is to see more background on the characters in the book. Not much detail on how Michael ended up in the wheelchair, what was behind Violet's surgery, no real detail about Allyn and Violet's parents, about Cam and Michael's friendship, or about Allyn's lack of enthusiasm for
Violet's friend and get upcoming visit.

I would recommend this book as an easy read, but I would not recommend it for people who are offended by descriptive sexual situations.

I liked the general idea, but I felt that some things seemed too rushed.
