"Everything was normal. Then nothing was."
I enjoyed book 3 more than book 2, but not as much as book 1. Why are there so many dead animals in books 2 and 3? My top 5 stories in this collection are Harold, The Dead Hand, The Dream, Sam's New Pet, and The Red Spot. I'm glad I had a chance to re-read these before the movie!

I remember me and two of my friends at sleepovers would each grab a Scary Stories book and take turns reading the stories out loud. Some of the stories were really good but others...not so much.

This was better than the second and overall a good end to the trilogy. The stories felt more complete and more detail was given to characters and settings. While I was more scared of the art than the stories themselves, I still enjoyed this more than the second book. This trilogy may not be too scary for me now, but I imagine kids will get a lot of it. Still recommend if you want a quick horror anthology trilogy.
