I did DNF @ 85%, I was losing interest starting at about 30%..... soo I pushed through trying to decide if I really cared about the characters enough to see how they get through their struggles... and I have come to the conclusion that I just don't care.

There was nothing wrong with the book it just stopped capturing my interest and I decided not to waste my time anymore, I feel like Eve just was repeating herself for a good chunk of the book. Alec was still being a poop, Ty is just Ty. The main guys that I liked the most were Ethan and Josh, but they still couldn't push me through to continue.

Overall the first book was entertaining, the second book I could tell it was going downhill, and then this book just flat out didn't do it for me. I don't even care enough to go to the end. I am giving this two stars one for Ethan and one for Josh, other than that it doesn't deserve more in my opinion.

I’d changed my ratings to lower because there was a lot more of internal monologue than there was dialogue and that wasn’t the worst of it all.

Spoilers ahead of course!

I had no problem with going back and forth with Alec and Eve throughout the trilogy but what I did have a problem was the way they were written as. Alec had said that he would build Eve’s trust on him but all that happened was a few promises of not keeping anything from her and still doing it after it was already discussed.

It was clear on the books that Alec is dealing with his pain different than the others, to which I get but there was no consequences at all with how he handled his relationship with Eve? No consequence that he slept with someone else, knowing that she was his vital? And while that didn’t mean they were exclusive, he tried to find her each time, made sure he knew everything that was going on with her. Doesn’t that situation alone lets anyone think that he’s into her?

Yeah, even though Eve stood her ground sometimes, the girl was a doormat to everyone. She kept saying ‘I know I should be mad but…’ like girl, yes you should! Any other sane person would be mad when their partners basically did the opposite of what they agreed to.

And I also never liked with how Eve gets told to stop fighting with Alec. Like, bros, attack the guy personally. He’s the one making it difficult for all of you. Not Eve.

The worst part is they know he’s making it difficult for them!

While this book tried to be funny, it succeeded a couple of times. All in all, some of the jokes landed poorly, borderline just making me cringe and want to quit it all.

The only reason I didn’t was because of Ethan and Dot.

Okay, here’s my major problem with books like these—their ‘war’ with the bad guy comes and everyone is dead except the five of them. The friends they lost, as the reader, couldn’t make me feel bad or close to crying with how everything was written. Which is having more of ‘we also talked about’ stuff rather than actually getting to read more of what they did talk about in depth.

An explosive end to the Evelyn Maynard Trilogy!
While Eve deals with the fall out of Davis roaming free, she also comes to terms with her feelings over the four men who occupy her heart.
Vivid Avowed is the steamiest book in the trilogy and also full of emotion and intense action.
As the bond grows between Eve and her bondmates, not only does their bond strengthen, but their powers grow. This attribute helps them in so many ways, while keeping their love strong.

I love all the supernatural aspects of this entire trilogy. Each new power that is introduced is utterly fascinating and Kaydence leaves no stone unturned on how it is utilized.

Ethan's power has always been in creating fire, but as his love and bond grows he finds he can also extinguish fire. The same goes for Josh in his telekinesis. Eve's love for them has always been the easier between the four and whether it is because of their youth, their easy going nature, or just who they are, it is no wonder she falls for them.
Tyler's gift may be the most passive, but he has given Eve butterflies since they first day she walked on campus and that feeling has never gone away. She feels that if he's still giving her butterflies into old age then they are both doing something right.
Alec love has been complicated from the get go. Even though Eve doesn't remember Alec they have had a special bond since childhood. He was also with her during her darkest days after she lost her mother. Then when she came to school he pushed her away even when he also cared and watched over her. Alec may present a tough outershell, but he really has a gooey center. Hurt so often by others, his first instinct is to lash out, but Eve sees through his facade. She understands the man underneath the pain and perhaps that is why they connected at such a young age.

As you read this story and travel along on their journey you really understand how Eve is tailor made for each of her variants and just how perfect she is for each mate.

I absolutely loved this trilogy and would have loved to stay.

It took me till the epilogue to like Alec, and still he’s my least favorite Love interest. The other three are perfect.Josh stole my heart completely.
