Book 30 of 2023: Love’s Labour’s Lost by William Shakespeare

Hilariously fun play to read! Greatly enjoyed reading it with my Shakespeare Group! Love the alliteration employed throughout the comedy. Some fun facts about this play:

1. This play features the longest scene in a Shakespeare play. Act 5.2 (which has 852 lines)

2. It has the longest single word: honorificabilitudinitatibus

3. The longest speech. Act 4.3 (77 lines long)

Not my favourite Shakespeare comedy, but it bounces along and has some hilarious moments. And the writing - pretty good, really.
