I’m a huge fan of Lyn Rae Harris and I am
always amazed with each of her new books how she just keeps getting better! This 3rd installment in the new Black Bandits series revolves around Colt and Angie, friends of Jace and Maddy for the 1st Black Bandits book.

These two have some history between them, Angie blames herself for him getting shot and Colt doesn’t think he’s the type of man she deserves because of the dangerous world he occupies. Lynn Rae Harris takes these two characters on a slow to medium burn that steps from shy and hesitant to be around each other to friends to oh so much more. The road to a HEA takes some twists and turns that help define who these characters are and how they feel for each other.

Yet another stellar read from this author, another tantalizing peek into Ian Black and his possible leading lady, and some appearances from Maddy/Jace and Bret/Tallie make this a very enjoyable read. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from the author.

Black Out lets readers get into the minds and hearts of two individuals that are used to living life alone, even when they are dependent on others at times, because they never truly give their full trust to those around them anymore. Angie was burned badly by the man she thought she was building a life with and since then has only found bad luck with the opposite sex, until Colton Duchaine strolls into her life. He truly terrifies her because she knows that if she opens her heart, he will have the power to destroy her once and for all. I loved getting to know Angie and see her come out of her shell, especially in quiet moments with Colt, as she begins to understand that offering her trust and ultimately her heart to Colt makes her strong not weak. She finds her backbone and learns that she is a match for him and that making him her own is the only way she will ever truly be whole and happy in her life. Colton has his own reasons for his solitary life, secrets he is keeping from even his closest friends, but Angie draws him like no woman before her and there is no resisting her anymore. Watching him fall under her spell and seeing how he treated her like a princess, reminds me that there are in fact men out there that will put the needs and wants of their woman first in life. Sometimes it’s not even the big things that matter, but the little things like caring for us when we are ill or just telling us that we are perfect the way we are, and Colt understands the power of that and gives it to Angie at every turn. While he is certainly a badass in all the best ways and alpha to the core when it comes to protecting his woman and getting shit done, he shows his love and caring and is not afraid for others to see his devotion and love for his woman. There is definitely heat and passion but my favorite moments between Angie and Colt were when they were just together and quiet in their love and devotion. I want a love like theirs for myself someday for sure. This story hits all the right notes with love, sweetness, action, drama, and a plot with enough twists to keep you wondering until the end. I am looking forward to more in their series as well as the two HOT series currently underway. If you aren’t a devoted Harris reader yet, Angie and Colt's story just might make you one!

Another heart stopping story in this series!  I couldn’t wait to get this one as Angie and Colt have been dancing around each other since book 1. I was not disappointed!

Colt is a gentleman in every sense of the word!  He is kind and has a softer side unless he is at work or…his woman is in danger. I enjoyed all the hidden information that came out as the story rolled along. He is a deep character. Angie has the fire red hair that leads to a bit of a temper that reared its head a time or two. I loved watching her get stronger and become more independent as the story moved forward.

Overall this is a wonderful addition to this action packed series!  I especially loved the gift BDI gave her at the end. So fitting and it made me smile! I did listen to this on audio. The narration is well done but I can never get enough of Tor Thom’s deep voice.

I haven't read the previous books in Black's Bandits as yet but when I gt the opportunity to read this I jumped at it! Ian Black is such an enigmatic figure through all the HOT series that I knew this series would be awesome and I was not disappointed.

Colton is a former Marine, now working as a mercenary with Black. He's a killer but after he was shot Angie got to see him as an injured man, weak as a kitten. She felt so much guilt over what had happpened to him that she pushed their attreaction away. But now she has some problems through work after an iffy account landed on her desk.

Now there are people after her and Colt is the only one who can keep her safe.

Absolutely amazing couple. Colt has all sorts of hidden talents! Angie is no slouch, she is no badass but she can and will stand up for herself and shre refuses to be left out the loop. I loved the gift she received from the crew, I let out a snort of laughter at that.

Fab work and keep them coming!

I've come to love the Black's Bandits series every bit as much as the Hostile Operations Team series and the SEAL Team series of books from Lynn Raye Harris. I've wanted Colt and Angie to get together since we first met them and can only say it was totally worth the wait!

I loved Black Out from start to finish. I literally hated to put this book down as I was reading and really wished I could have read non-stop until I was finished. There has always been chemistry between Colt and Angie, and the fact their best friends Jace and Maddy are in a relationship, and keep throwing them together made me laugh out loud. I honestly loved the growth of Angie's character so much over this series. She really didn't seem that strong when we first met her in in Black List. I felt like she slowly was progressing to a strong woman, and she absolutely blew me away with her strength by the end of Black Out.

I have loved Colt from the first. Seriously the strong and yummy men Ian Black has working for him are just too Alpha for words...but in a really good way. Colt has the protective instinct I feel like all the men in these books have, and he wants to protect Angie from day one. I kinda loved the butted heads a bit in the beginning, but also loved Angie was stronger each passing day she spent with Colt. The chemistry between Colt and Angie built from the moment they met, and only got stronger after they made love for the first. Seriously all the happy sighs for this couple.

The suspense element was very strong in this story, and had a different feel from some of the other books in the series. It started from the very first page and I was pretty much on the edge of my seat trying to piece all the puzzle pieces together. I love when a book keeps me guessing, and Black Out did in spades. I also have to say I loved the time we got to spend with Ian Black. Seriously I'm counting down the minutes until we get his book! It's like I'm waiting for Mendez's book all over again (which was more than worth the wait)!!!

Black Out was definitely another winner from Lynn Raye Harris. Honestly, it is one of my favorite books I've ever read from her. I highly recommend this book and series to all fans of romantic suspense. I promise you won't be disappointed!
