This was a lovely book--it felt very sweet and peaceful. It's a bit sad, but not tragic. Perhaps more melancholy than sad. Plus it reminded me of how fascinating I find math! Sometimes the descriptions/explanations of math got a little too intricate, but mostly they were enjoyable. I really enjoyed reading about people connecting with someone who can never remember them. As someone who's had several grandparents go through dementia, it was very relatable.

One of my favorites from 2022 <3 Yoko Ogawa's has the talent to switch from a darker book like "the memory police" to something hopefull and filled with heartwarming moments like this one. A amazing author of which I will be reading more and more.
