The first book I enjoyed. This one not so much. It drug on and on and still not a lot of happiness or satisfaction more annoyance. Definitely second books syndrome in my opinion and not sure if I will read on or I might just see if it picks up. Even audio was a struggle  narrators were great though

I absolutely love these narrators! This was a pretty good second and I’ll definitely be reading more in this series. There are short reads and kind of shocking! The writing is a bit tedious but all in all pretty good!

While this wasn’t nearly as good as the first book, I still enjoyed it. It was very tortured and frustrating, for sure. I noticed quite a few typos within the book as well that should have been caught in the editing stage of things. It was very hot, very sexy, and not as introspective, though we do learn more things on the backstory of the tragic event in Lucian’s life. I liked it, but it wasn’t mind blowing.

I also could tell the staging of the series by the end of this book. The first one is the story of how they fell in love. The second one is about him accepting that he is in love with her and mating with her. The third book is going to be about another stage in their relationship that I am not going to spoil for you. I could plot this story out myself. It’s very linear, which is interesting to me as a storyteller. It was just something I noticed. The ordering of the events almost could be called formulaic.

However, there were still a lot of things I really liked about this book. I loved how we got to see some of the minor characters from the previous book really shine in this one, like Rachael and Cinaed. These characters ended up really showcasing their own inner strengths as they did end up becoming Arabella's confidantes since a certain someone was being a little baby and avoiding her. I also really loved how we got to see the kind of backbone Arabella has in this book. She is so resilient and she never gives up on those she cares about, and that was so apparent in this book, which was really awesome to see as well, and I think she really shined in this second book.

But overall, I still really enjoyed it, it was a really quick read, and I am excited to continue on with the series!

This one had a bit more depth to the story than the last installment. Could still use more character development of Arabella instead of just her being a damsel in distress.

As in book 1, this is not the complete story and ends with a cliffhanger.

I’m still determined to finish Lucien’s story, BUT

What the ever living shit is about him basically finger blasting another girl and coming home to Arabella like nothing happened and her totally chill with it? Not about it.

A whole lot of contemplation and soul searching going on in this book. Lucian struggling to stay away and Arabella coming to terms with just how strong her feelings for Lucian are.

I love the variety of characters in this series. Angels and angelings, Fae, both Winter and Summer, along with demons, vampires, and other shifters. Dark fae are definitely pieces of work. Zephan is definitely up to NO GOOD.

Lucien & Arabella, Part 2: Lucien got on my nerves in this one... but, the writing was superb!- 5 Stars

Lucien continues to suffer from the conflict of ending it with Arabella, to save her from a terrible fate. He begins to date again, However, Arabella's reluctance to leave and his feelings for her make moving on seem more easier than it looks.

As much as I wanted to give this book a low rating, I just couldn't. My assessment would have been selfish, because Lucien made me want to throw my Kindle several times! However, the writing was very engaging and kept me turning the pages. Book two was definitely 5 Stars. It was the second part of three so, I can't really give away too much. I'll just say that I hurried to Amazon to download book three!

Happy reading!

This book continued from the previous one and answered a lot a of questions. I spent a lot of the book cursing Lucian and his decisions. The end was a beautiful wrap up for the main characters. The audiobook is very well read. I would give this book a 3.5 for spicyness and a 4 overall.

Heart of a Dragon is the second book in the Fallen Immortals series and is the continuation of Lucian and Arabella story who we previously met in the first book in the series Kiss of a Dragon. I just loved getting to reenter this amazing world and see more of these wonderful characters. I just felt so much for them and everything they were going through and I just didn’t want this story to end. I can’t wait to read the next installment of their story.
