This is in my top 3 books in 2023. I was so shocked at how much I liked this book. I was up at 2:00am reading which isn’t normal for me. This book kept me on edge, I wanted to jump in this book and tell him everything that was going on with the MFC. The plot was great the smut was perfect.

This book was amazing. I only stopped put it down once since I started it and it was to sleep. I was right back to it once I woke up. I loved the will they, won't they aspect when it came to Royce and Jade. It was definitely slow paced when it came to them actually getting together. But I loved that it was. The tension between them was amazing throughout the entire book. I loved how protective Royce was of Jade (along with all the guys) even when he denied his feeling for her, saying he didn't care about her, you could clearly tell he was lying. And I loved that Jade fought right back and didn't take all that Royce threw at her.

The mystery was great as well. And the plot twist upon plot twist towards the end left me shocked. I did guess who James was early on. It was pretty obvious who he was, at least to me. But the other twists I had no idea about. And I was left shocked and surprised by it all. I was especially shocked by Jade in the end. What she did and was a part of surprised the hell out of me. But it only showed just how strong and powerful she really is.

The only complaint I have about this book is the fact there is just a general authors note about the content in this book. This book could be very damaging to someone if it got into the wrong hands without a more detailed and specific trigger list due to the type of content that is in this book. I really don't like that the author brushes this off saying that this is "her version of dark" and that the content is very dark without actually going into detail about what that dark content is. So I'm very disappointed by this fact.

Despite that, I did rate this book 5 stars, because I was thoroughly entertained and hooked from the beginning. I literally did not want to stop reading at any point. It was an absolutely amazing read.

I'd definitely recommend this, but only if I know the person I'm recommending it to can handle the content. And I'd always provide all the content warnings if I'm recommending it just in case to give them the option to opt out of reading it if they so choose.

I wasn’t expecting all of this. It was like one minute I’m ready a good story and then next chapter. I’m reading some a little bit more skewed, but still good.

It’s just not the same story from the beginning.

I think of it like the episode on teen titans win the Titans go to the parallel universe. Where Robin is sloppy and lazy, raven is happy go lucky, beast boy is very handsome, and cyborg is mostly human. That’s basically what this book gave me once I hit a turning point.

But it was still great, and I would recommend!

Wow. Just WOW. This book is dark and definitely NOT for the faint of heart. I pride myself in being able to see what is going to happen in books. I DID NOT SEE THIS COMING! Holy hell this book is good. It is twisted and dark. Most of the time you sit there wondering what the hell is happening but Amo Jones could not have done a more fantastic job with these characters. If you like dark romance READ THIS RIGHT NOW!!!

okay first, please please please read the trigger warnings before reading this book. it’s really not for the faint hearted.

i feel like i’ve been reading soft books for a little while now so i wanted a change and something darker. out of all the titles on my KU tbr, this one stuck out to me and i thought it could be what i was looking for. and i was absolutely right. this book was DARK, idk what i was expecting this to be about but it certainly wasn’t what i just read.

i liked Jade and how strong she was even after all the absolute shit she’d been through. i liked Royce, even tho at times it did feel like he was a side character in a book where the title is his motorcycle club nickname. i was lowkey obsessed with Wicked from the moment we were first introduced to him, and i don’t hold anything against him bc that poor guy was just as much a victim as Jade and the others were.

i loved how kinda batshit crazy it got at the end with all the plot reveals and all the shit finally going down. my only problem was that it all happened so fast that it felt a little rushed, and some of the reveals ultimately felt like they came out of left field.

generally tho, i defo ate this book up and i was instantly hooked by both the plot and the chemistry between Jade and Royce.
