I remember having many of these stories read to me at bedtime when I was a kid, but I had forgotten a lot of the details (this does explain why I think of geese when I hear the word "carbuncle", not that I hear it all that often). It helped me get a Jeopardy! question right soon after I finished, by knowing that Holmes's housekeeper's name is Mrs Hudson. So... hurrah! I like audiobooks of mysteries or short stories for car rides, so this fit the bill well!
