Worked on a production of this. Really good script, lots of tension and complex, flawed characters.

I'm a sucker for scenes with sheep. Dialect is hilarious and lyrical.

A fascinating look into a notorious subject - one that was unexpected for me. The relationship between Louis and Marie was the opposite from the norm, and her behavior and thought process through the whole thing was exciting to see.

Quite a good play full of metaphors, double meanings and some beautiful lines. In the note at the beginning, Adjmi compares his writing to a musical symphony, which I think is apt; it is through this analogy that the play's greatest strengths and weaknesses are revealed. In some sections, the dialogue flows really well and leaps from character to character with propulsive, energetic rhythm, however, Adjmi often falls into the trap of the particularly melodramatic composer: he uses far too many starts and stops and musical/rhythmic flourishes to let the play breath as it should. I did enjoy how quick a read it was though. Really fun stuff.
